We don't want us to think about healing and wholeness as something reserved for a few special people or a few dramatic moments. We have been built to encounter His love, experience His transforming power, and then learn how to extend the miraculous to those around us. This is our mission, as a church! As Christians, we are called to partner with the love and power of Jesus in a broken world. Part of that invitation is to give away what we have received. So this awakening is two-fold – healing for us, and healing through us. In the same way that doctors practice medicine and lawyers practice law, Christians are invited to practice healing. We like to say it this way – What God does in you, He wants to do through you!

Happy birthday to one of our Founding Pastors, Happy Leman. His heart for identity and grace has shaped this church in ways we are still discovering. We are so glad you were born. TVC exists in part because of this man's faithfulness. We love you, and we celebrate you today, Happy!

JESUS WILL ALWAYS BE THE HERO. HE IS THE HEALER.
- We will always believe the incredible truth that our God is a God of healing. He wants us whole in every way, and He wants us to give that away to others.
- We will always welcome and honor the Holy Spirit and His fresh infilling.
- We will always make God's Word our top priority for studying, meditating, confessing, and believing.
- We will always make faith a priority — trusting God through difficult times, persevering, worshiping and praising, and hanging on no matter what.
- We will always believe in the power of prayer.
- We will always be hungry, humble, and teachable and stay committed to doing life in community--the church family.

The awakened life is not the life of someone who never fails. It is the life of someone who keeps returning to Jesus. When the Holy Spirit convicts us, we come into the light. There we discover what David discovered: the mercy of God is greater than our worst failure. Jesus did not save us merely so we could avoid judgment someday. He saved us to awaken us to life with Him right now. This life isn’t about sin avoidance, it’s about SON awareness. The Son of God, Jesus, is where we fix our attention.
