This morning our Director of Operations, Jesy Littlejohn, and Board member, Shani McIlwain, worshiped at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Washington DC.

1983, in the middle of a time where the PC(USA) and the country, continued to abidate their responsibilities during the midst of the HIV and AIDS epidemic, in a time when LGBTQIA+ folks were turned away from community, from membership, and leadership within the church, we give thanks that right here in the epicenter of global politics, this church said ‘We are not like them. We believe in the fullness of the gospel. We believe that you are our neighbor and it is not just our call but it is our honor to love you.”

This congregation, under the leadership of Rev. Jeanie MacKenzie, pictured here, became the first More Light Presbyterian church in National Capital Presbyterian. Risking their reputation, their pastor, their membership and their money. They risked it all, because that was what God calls us to do.

And since, they have served as a visible testimony to what it means to be a More Light Presbyterian congregation. They openly show what it means to love radically, and what it means to work for the flourishing of creation and the liberation of all God’s people.

We are a little behind in posting, but a day late and on any day this is important history and prayer.

We are a little behind in posting, but a day late and on any day this is important history and prayer.

Join us in prayer as we commemorate Juneteenth and renew our commitment to confront injustice and live out our faith through action.

🌈 WE'RE CELEBRATING OUTSIDE THIS WEEKEND! 🌈

The forecast is cooperating, the countdown is nearly over, and POINT PRIDE 2026 officially begins TOMORROW!

Join us tomorrow starting at 4:00 PM for our annual Pride Crawl. If you're 21 years of age or older, stop by the Downtown Public Square to pick up your $10 Pride Pack and kick off a full weekend of community, celebration, and pride.

Then on Saturday, we'll gather at Pfiffner Park for a full day of entertainment, vendors, food, family activities, community resources, and everything that makes Point Pride so special.

Thank you for sticking with us as we waited for Mother Nature to make up her mind. Now it's time to celebrate!

We'll see you outside this weekend! ☀️🏳️‍🌈🎉

This wonderful group of Frame Green Team volunteers planted 65 native plants at Boston School Forest recently-Trillium, Jack in the Pulpit, Solomon's Plume, swamp milkweed, blue flag Iris, cardinal flower, great blue lobelia and monkey flower. (Notice the rosy cheeks—It was about 85 degrees that day!)

The Green Team also distributed 43 native plants to our church members.

We welcome others who would like to join us in Frame’s agricultural and environmental ministry (advocating, gardening, giving produce, caring for creation and more). Reply in the post if you are interested.
