UWSP WELS Collegians We provide WELS Campus Ministry at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. We meet for food, fellowship, and faith every Thursday night 6:30-8:00PM!

All are welcome to join us! The UWSP WELS Collegians or "The Real Thirsty Thursdays" is a Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) campus ministry group based out of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, but also serving surrounding college students, such as Mid-State Technical College (MSTC). Since becoming an official on-campus organization in Spring 2013, we have been meeting every Thur

sday evening at 7:30pm. After we enjoy a home cooked meal and fellowship, we have bible study from around 8:00pm to 9:00pm. Even though we are a student-run organization, Pastor Scott Wolfram and Staff Minister Jerry Worden lead our weekly meetings. They prepare bible studies based off of the students’ topic requests. MEAL/FELLOWSHIP: 7:30-8:00PM
BIBLE STUDY: 8:00-9:00PM

We are affiliated with the WELS church, Divine Word, in Plover, WI, however, The Word is a new branch of the church, located in Stevens Point, WI. This building was created more specifically for Campus Ministry. We were blessed to open this location in January 2017! Divine Word Lutheran Church

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me the light of Your truth through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Too often I keep that light to myself instead of sharing the hope I have in Him. Forgive me for those times. Strengthen me through Your Word and help me grow in faith and Christlike love. Heavenly Father, You know my thoughts and desires, and You know that I often make plans and think I know the best way forward. Help me remember that my life is not my own, and forgive me for the times I trust in my own wisdom more than Your guidance. Help me desire Your will more than my own and trust Your direction even when I cannot see the whole path before me. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to be my Savior and to lead me through every season of life. Keep my steps secure in Your promises and help me follow wherever You lead. Heavenly Father, I want to believe Your promises that You are my refuge and strength. Yet, life often feels uncertain, and the storms around me can seem overwhelming. Remind me that You are always near and that I can trust You in every situation. Help me rest in Your care and find peace in Your promises. Heavenly Father, You are worthy of all my love and devotion. Yet, I confess that I do not always love You with all my heart because of distractions and struggles. Please forgive me for those times when I have not loved You with my whole heart. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, who loved You perfectly in my place and gave His life for my salvation. Heavenly Father, thank You for Your goodness, mercy, and faithfulness. You love me even when I am unlovable and continue to keep Your promises even when I fail to keep mine. Thank You for the mercy You have shown me through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help me trust in Your faithfulness each day and share the hope of Your promises with those who come after me.
