Lord God, You Yourself create in me the hunger and thirst for righteousness, and only You can satisfy it through Your Word and through Christ my Savior. Strengthen me to cling to the hope You give in the Gospel, and help me reflect Your love in my life toward others. Grant me patience to endure this broken world as I wait for the day when You will return and make all things new. Through Jesus Christ, my Lord. Amen.

God, thank You for bringing me into Your kingdom by grace. You receive me even though I am broken and far from whole. Remind me that Your power is sufficient for every need, and teach me to rely on Your strength rather than my own. By Your Spirit, help me to walk gently and humbly with those I meet today. God of all comfort, you see those who mourn, and in your mercy you promise to draw near.
Turn our grieving hearts to your sure and certain promises.
Bring healing where there is hurt, hope where there is despair, and strength where we are overwhelmed.
Let us find our comfort in Christ, who has carried our sorrows and conquered death for us.

Lord God, heavenly Father, I thank You for giving me Yourself through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Strengthen me by Your grace to endure whatever comes. Teach me to remember that when I am weak, You are strong, and that Your power is made perfect in my weakness. Turn even the hardest situations toward Your glory and my good. Let my weaknesses become windows through which Your mercy and strength shine. Through Jesus Christ, my Lord. Amen.

We believe in the Triune God. “Whoever wishes to be saved must, above all else, hold to the true Christian faith. Whoever does not keep this faith pure in all points will certainly perish forever.” The third and longest of the ecumenical creeds underscores the importance of this Sunday’s message. The doctrine of the Trinity is not a logical exercise or a dogmatic excursion. It’s central to our salvation. The Triune God is our Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier. Lose this doctrine, and as the Creed says, you lose it all. A Jesus who is less than God is also less than Savior.

You Yourself uphold justice, and You act with perfect fairness and mercy. By Your Spirit, teach me to love what is right as You do, and to pursue justice in the callings You have given me. Let my life reflect Your compassion toward those in need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
