Zechariah 4:1-14

Zerubbabel had no army and no money—but that’s exactly where God loves to step in. It is His Modus Operandi. God’s work isn’t accomplished by human strength, but by His Spirit. What does that mean for our struggles today, and how do we practically live this out? Join us as we dive into what it looks like to depend entirely on God's power.

Titus 1:10-16

We tend to see what we know so therefore we need to work on what we know.

Jude 1:17-25

Join us for the conclusion of our series on the Epistle of Jude. This week, we dive into Jude’s urgent warning against voices that lead us away from the gospel. While some seek to divide by following their own instincts, the Way of Jesus calls us to a life of total dependence and merciful love.

We’ll explore how to cultivate a heart that truly recognizes God at work—because in life we often see what we know, rather than knowing what we see.

The "Plan B" worship gathering for Tapestry Church in Stevens Point, Wisconsin Sunday, March 15th, 2026.

It is the 4th week of Lent. John 9:1-41. Why was this man born blind? Was it sin? No it is about the glory of God. In a world that tells us it is all about our ability to do right or wrong, Jesus brings a kingdom that is about His presence.

DO NOT GO TO THE ROSE HOUSE TOMORROW - Due to the weather we will just stream a worship gathering video rather than meet together. Please stay safe and warm.

I often mention this at church: while we never talk partisanship, we regularly talk politics. That is because political discussions are about living out our faith and being good neighbors, whereas partisan discussions are about supporting a party.

This is a political post.

Due to the ongoing government shutdown this week, funding for SNAP Benefits (formerly known as food stamps) is projected to run out, and many in our community will lose money they depend on for food.

I believe our faith compels us not to stand idly by when the provision of food is used as a political tool. Regardless of your view on the role of government, I don't believe it is acceptable to use food assistance—taking food out of a child's mouth—as a means of forcing partisan demands.

If Tapestry is your community of faith, I am asking you to take two essential actions immediately:

1. Re-Direct Your Giving

For the next month, I ask that you SPECIFICALLY direct your giving to local agencies that provide food assistance.

Whatever you would typically give to the church this month, please give it instead to an organization in our area that provides food assistance.

Food Organizations in Our Area:

Evergreen Community Initiatives (Place of Peace) - https://wisconsineci.org/

Operation Bootstrap - https://operation-bootstrap.org/

Saint Paul Lutheran Church Food Pantry - 715-344-5664

Saint Vinnies Thrift Store and Food Pantry (St. Vincent De Paul) - 715-344-7395

2. Contact Your Representatives

Call your elected representatives in Congress and tell them to fund SNAP and cease using food for families as a tool of partisan politics.

This isn't about who you vote for; it's about advocating for our most vulnerable neighbors.

Just a reminder that we will not be at the Rose House tomorrow. Instead we will do a picnic at Iverson Park. Bring something to share or just come and eat food and hang out. Bringing a chair would probably be a good idea.

"In His free grace, God is for man in every respect; He surrounds man from all sides. He is man's Lord who is before him, above him, after him, and thence also with him in history, the locus of man's existence. Despite man's insignificance, God is with him as his Creator who intended and made mankind to be very good. Despite man's sin, God is with him, the One who was in Jesus Christ reconciling the world, drawing man unto Himself in merciful judgment. Man's evil past is not merely crossed out because of its irrelevancy. Rather, it is in the good care of God." Karl Barth
