No legislation changes that. No headline changes that. No amount of fear changes that.

You are seen. You are sacred. You belong.

Beloved community,

Many of us are feeling the weight of the world right now.

We see legislation harming transgender people.
We see war devastating families and communities.
We see immigrant neighbors living with fear and uncertainty.
And so many other places where dignity and safety are under threat.

In moments like this, our faith does not call us to look away from grief. It calls us to hold one another close and remember who we are.

People grounded in love.
People committed to justice.
People still building beloved community — even now.

Thank you Pastor Cathy for spending time with us today! We’re in the DUC this afternoon with Glitter + Ashes and info on this summer’s Service-Learning Trip to Detroit. Stop to say “hi”, receive ashes, get info, or chat! There also will be an Ash Wednesday service later today at St. Paul’s UMC at 6 PM.
