Masjid Aliya

Masjid Aliya Masjid Aliya, also known as the Islamic Center of Stafford VA, is located at 2604 Jefferson Davis Highway in Stafford, Virginia.

Masjid Aliya, also known as the Islamic Center of Stafford VA, is a non-profit Muslim organization providing worship services, educational programs, and a food pantry program for Stafford and surrounding areas. Our current location was purchased in 2018 thanks to the generosity of our community, but most of all, thanks to the generosity of our wonderful benefactor, Brother Hamid Ali Khan, who fina

nced the majority of our building with the dream of founding a masjid in the name of his deceased wife, Aliya. Sadly, brother Hamid passed away in 2019, though alhamdulillah, he passed away after seeing his dream become a reality! The board of Masjid Aliya has recently completed renovations to our building that greatly increased prayer areas for both men and women, upgraded our restroom facilities, and built a new space for our food pantry so that we can better serve our community. Currently, we offer two Friday services at 12:30pm and 1:30pm, and our Food Pantry is open every Thursday from 4pm to 5pm (except during Ramadan). Masjid Aliya is open to the public to be used for the five daily prayers, however our facilities are kept locked and are unlocked remotely for community members by our Masjid Security Team.

Thank you to our wonderful teacher, Sister Atia Waseem, and all of our wonderful families and volunteers. The kids had a great time playing and eating. We are so proud of how much our students have learned this year!

Today we gathered our volunteers for an appreciation dinner at Zamarod Kabob to thank them for all that they do for us. They all come from different backgrounds, but what unites them is their love of serving our community. They dedicate their time and put in all of their effort without seeking recognition. They serve at our biggest events such as Ramadan and our Eid prayers, to Friday prayer every week, our educational programs, and our food pantry.

Masjid Aliya began with just a few families meeting at a hotel conference room on Fridays to pray. Since then our community has grown. We purchased a Masjid, and then expanded that Masjid. We have continued to grow to such an extent that this Masjid can no longer accommodate our community. Our Friday prayers are so large, that congregants must pray in the parking lot, and over 3500 Muslims joined us for our last Eid prayer! It is time that we start looking for a property that can accommodate our ever-growing community. Your support can help us to achieve that goal.
