My church has been helping a Russian refugee family (husband, wife and 2 young children) that fled for their lives at the start of the war with Ukraine with nothing but the clothes they we wearing. They are in a desperate financial situation. They have no social benefits, but only the money the dad is able to provide for them which is not much. I am trying to raise $3,000 so that we can help them get 1 month ahead on their rent and put new tires on their car. Good morning men! Some of you may have met our young Russian refugee family (and specifically the mom). They are a sweet family and have been coming to church for a while now. God is doing a work in their lives, more to share on that soon. They are going through the long expensive process of gaining asylum. The husband has a work permit and is working long hours to make ends meet. He is currently driving door dash and his car broke down in a bad way yesterday. If anyone has a car they are willing to loan him for a few days to a week, we believe we have a vehicle that will be donated to them next week. I am still assessing the situation, but let me know if you are able to help at all! Text/ call me if you have any questions and I can fill you in.

A lot of our men are celebrating their 248th birthday today! I am so thankful for our marines, always ready to run towards danger to protect our country and loved ones. I am especially thankful for the ways you serve our church family at Pillar Stafford! Happy birthday Marine!
