🎉 Welcome, Chris! 🎉

We are excited to welcome Chris Anderson as Ebenezer's new Director of Student Ministries!

Chris brings a heart for discipleship, a passion for helping students grow in their faith, and a deep love for studying God's Word. After 18 years of service in the United States Coast Guard, God called him into ministry, where he has spent years teaching, writing Christian curriculum, and helping others walk more closely with Jesus.

Chris, his wife Angela, their three children, and three dogs call Stafford home. When he's not studying Scripture or investing in students, you'll find him coaching fitness, spending time with family, or cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

Please join us in giving Chris a warm Ebenezer welcome! We are excited to see how God will use him to impact the lives of our students and families.

We live in a world that often tells us to be careful with our love. Make people earn it. Decide who deserves it. Keep score.

But Jesus tells a different story.

In Luke 15, a father runs toward a son who wasted everything. He throws dignity aside, opens his arms wide, and welcomes him home before a single apology is finished.

That's the kind of love God has for us.

A love that runs toward the hurting.
A love that welcomes the wandering.
A love that refuses to keep score.
A love that reaches for both the rebellious younger brother and the self-righteous older brother.

It's beautiful.
It's frustrating.
It's unfair.
And thank God for that.

Our new Ebenezer theme isn't just something to print on a t-shirt.
Boldly Love. Serve Big.

It's an invitation to live the way Jesus lived—to welcome others, extend grace, build bridges instead of walls, and invite people to the party God is throwing.

Who in your life needs a little bold love this week? ❤️
-Pastor Emily

This week, Ebenezer had the joy of celebrating some of the incredible educators and school staff who pour so much into students across Stafford County.

We set up a big Teacher Appreciation tent at Hampton Oaks, delivered homemade Moo-Thru ice cream sandwiches to the amazing teachers and administrators at The Phoenix Center, and brought the giant Moo-Thru ice cream truck to Moncure Elementary where we served over 140 teachers and staff their favorite flavors!

As the last week of school arrives, hallways are filling with countdowns, yearbook signatures, graduation ceremonies, and all the big emotions that come with endings and new beginnings.

And parents… we see you too. ❤️

Whether you’re sending your little one off to kindergarten, watching a child move up to middle school, or trying not to cry at graduation while pretending “you just have allergies,” we know this season can hold a lot of joy and a lot of feelings all at once.

We are so grateful for the teachers, counselors, administrators, and support staff who have walked alongside our students this year with patience, compassion, wisdom, and encouragement.

Thank you for the countless ways you show up for kids every single day. We love our schools, and we are thankful for all you do! 💙

Some days it feels easier to shut down.

To scroll instead of pray.
To avoid instead of forgive.
To stay comfortable instead of courageous.

But we weren’t created just to survive life numb and disconnected.

We were made for purpose.
For passion.
For compassion.
For courage.

Are we willing to be filled?
To surrender?
To love people well?
To burn brightly in a world that desperately needs light?

Maybe the question isn’t whether the world is dark.
Maybe the question is:
Are we willing to burn brightly anyway?

This Memorial Day weekend, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

We remember their courage.
We honor their sacrifice.

And we hold in prayer the families who carry that loss each and every day.

As we gather with loved ones this weekend, may we never forget the cost of the freedoms we enjoy.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

Planting Day at Ebenezer Acre was a beautiful reminder that small seeds can grow into something life-changing.

Volunteers spent the morning planting and preparing crops that will help provide fresh produce for families served through, our local food pantry partner. What an incredible way to Love BIG and Serve BOLDLY together!

Want to get your hands dirty for a good cause? We’d love to have you join us! Volunteers are welcome every Saturday morning to help plant, water, w**d, harvest, and care for the garden — no experience needed. Just bring comfortable clothes, a willing heart, and maybe a little sunscreen.

This is more than gardening. It’s ministry. It’s community. It’s caring for our neighbors in a tangible way.

Come grow with us at Ebenezer Acre! Message us for more info!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the women who love, nurture, encourage, guide, and care for others every single day. 💐 Today, we celebrate you.

We also know this day can feel complicated. For some, Mother’s Day carries grief, loss, longing, or difficult memories. Wherever you find yourself today — joyful, hurting, thankful, exhausted, or hopeful — you are seen, loved, and not alone.

Today at Ebenezer, we celebrate with joy, hold space with compassion, and thank God for the incredible women who reflect His love in so many ways.

Happy Mother’s Day, beautiful and beloved people. 💛

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Our VBS monkey has officially started his climb to the top of the waterfall. 🐒🌧️

Every donation helps move him higher toward our $5,000 goal for Rainforest Falls VBS — and every volunteer helps make this incredible week happen for our kids. 🌿💚

Last year’s VBS was full of worship, laughter, friendships, snacks, chaos, dancing, and kids learning to trust Jesus through every adventure… and we can’t wait to do it all again.

But we still need YOUR help.
🙌 Volunteer for VBS
🌴 Donate supplies or sponsor VBS
🐒 Help move the monkey to the top!

You do not need to be:
❌ super crafty
❌ a Bible expert
❌ able to survive without coffee

You just need a willing heart and maybe comfortable shoes.

Let’s make Rainforest Falls VBS the biggest and best one yet. 🌧️✨

Church looks a little different this week… and we love that for us.

This Sunday, we’re taking church outside 🙌

📍 Locust Shade Park
⏰ 10:00 AM

That’s right—no worship on campus this week. Instead, we’re gathering under the open sky for Church in the Park. Same mission. Same community. Just… way more fresh air and significantly fewer walls.
After worship, stick around for a picnic
👉 Bring a side dish or dessert to share
👉 We’ll handle the burgers & hot dogs
👉 You bring the “this is my signature dish” energy

Also—we still need volunteers! If you’ve ever thought, “I should sign up to help with something…” this is your moment. Jump in and be part of making this day amazing.

🎥 In this video, Pastor Emily & Pastor Jeff are giving you the inside scoop on what to expect—so press play and get ready.
Because church isn’t a building…
It’s people. And this Sunday, those people are meeting in the park.
