01/30/2026

Because of family commitments that were affected by last weekend’s snowstorm, then moved to Sunday, February 1, we will have to cancel the FATIMA meeting.

I hope you are planning to attend Father Mattler’s 96th birthday party and 70th anniversary celebration at Saint Agnes Home, 10341 Manchester Road on Sunday, February 15 beginning at 1 PM.

We will have appetizers, snacks, pizza and cake. You are welcome to bring something to share. Hope to see you on February 15.

Ave Maria - As we stand at the threshold of a new year, the Mother of God once again invites us to take refuge in her Immaculate Heart and to trust in the power of the Rosary offered with perseverance and love.

We invite you to join a 54-Day Rosary Novena, beginning on Friday, January 30 and concluding on the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25, 2026—a fitting day to place our hopes in the hands of Our Lady, who once said yes to God on behalf of all humanity.

Novena Intention

We will pray together for Our Lady's powerful intercession in the year ahead, asking her help to spread the Message of Fatima faithfully and successfully, with special emphasis on renewed commitment to the Devotion of the Five First Saturdays, which Heaven itself has given us as a remedy for the times.

At Fatima, Our Lady promised:

"I promise to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, confess, receive Holy Communion, pray five decades of the Rosary, and keep me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation."
The 54-Day Rosary Novena is a time-honored tradition of persevering prayer. By committing to the daily Rosary over these nine weeks, we unite our petition placing it entirely in her maternal hands.

In an age of confusion, suffering, and spiritual urgency, this novena is a way to:

Strengthen our personal devotion to the Rosary

Renew zeal for the Message of Fatima

Ask Our Lady to prepare hearts, homes, and parishes to live the First Saturday devotion more faithfully

Entrust the year ahead to the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart

The novena consists of five decades of the Rosary (one set of mysteries) each day for twenty-seven days in petition; then immediately five decades each day for an additional twenty-seven days in thanksgiving, regardless of whether or not the request has been granted.

To do the novena properly one must pray the Rosary for 54 consecutive days, without missing a day, and must pray the particular Mystery indicated for that day following the correct sequence.

That is, the first day of the novena always begins with the Joyful Mysteries (regardless of what day of the week the novena is started); the second day, the Sorrowful Mysteries are prayed; and the third day of the novena, the Glorious Mysteries are prayed.

The fourth day of the novena begins again with the Joyful Mysteries and continues on in that sequence throughout the 54 days of the novena.

People have asked about the Luminous Mysteries — this novena was given by Our Lady in 1884 and only allows for the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries.

Whether prayed alone, as a family, or in community, every Rosary strengthens the great spiritual work entrusted to the Blue Army.

Let us respond generously to her call and allow her to guide us safely through the year ahead. May this novena be a source of grace, renewal, and hope for each of us and the Blue Atmy apostolate

United in the Immaculate Heart of Mary,

Mary Broome

"In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph."
