Episcopal City Mission

Episcopal City Mission ECM provides ecumenical chaplaincy and life-changing programs to kids in the juvenile justice system.

Ministry of Presence
Probably the most important aspect of the chaplains' time with the children is what we call “the ministry of presence”. Our chaplains walk the halls; visit the units; play cards, board games, or video games; or watch TV with the youth. The non-anxious presence of our chaplains reassures the teens that their spiritual well-being is being looked after.

The month of March is "Meals for our Mission!" As several of you have inquired about other ways to help ECM, aside from the birthday socials, you can help us by spreading the word to Eat for ECM at Pizza Hut on Tuesday, March 17th and at Arby's on Tuesday, March 31. A portion of the proceeds will go towards ECM providing support, hope, and healing for children in the Juvenile Justice System.

ECM's Annual Meeting was held yesterday. We were honored to have Bishop Deon K. Johnson to open up the business session, and Rev. Shug Goodlow to expedite. "Great Things" are happening at ECM, like our upcoming EAT 4 ECM opportunities next month. Stay connected, and get ready to "munch with us in March!" ECM is looking forward to receiving a portion of the proceeds that will be generated.
