"Grant, we pray, almighty God, that we, who glory in the Heart of your beloved Son and recall the wonders of his love for us, may be made worthy to receive an overflowing measure of grace from that fount of heavenly gifts. Through Christ our Lord." (Roman Missal: Collect for the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Option 1)

Catholic Cemeteries' sacred spaces are not final resting places, but hallowed holding grounds as we await the blessed hope of the Resurrection.

To maintain the reverence of these sacred spaces, our team will be removing decorations on the cemetery grounds this Wednesday and Thursday, June 10 and 11.

Be assured of our prayers for you, and for your loved ones who have passed into everlasting life.

"Down in adoration falling,
Lo! the sacred Host we hail;
Lo! o'er ancient forms departing,
Newer rites of grace prevail;
Faith for all defects supplying,
Where the feeble senses fail.

To the everlasting Father,
And the Son who reigns on high,
With the Holy Spirit proceeding
Forth from each eternally,
Be salvation, honor, blessing,
Might and endless majesty. Amen."

This Memorial Day, we remember that Catholic Cemeteries’ sacred spaces are not final resting places, but holy grounds that are maintained with reverence. For the loved ones of Catholics who have served in the military, the upcoming Memorial Day holiday is a solemn, special weekend. Each of our locations offer places of prayer for remembering those who serve, and giving thanks for their lives.

Our burial search is available, to find the grave of a loved one, as we prepare for this weekend: https://awaittheblessedhope.org/burial-search

"When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven staying in Jerusalem. At this sound, they gathered in a large crowd, but they were confused because each one heard them speaking in his own language. They were astounded, and in amazement they asked, 'Are not all these people who are speaking Galileans? Then how does each of us hear them in his native language? We are Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya near Cyrene, as well as travelers from Rome, both Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs, yet we hear them speaking in our own tongues of the mighty acts of God.'” (Acts 2:1-11)
