June's nature song circle is coming up this Saturday, June 13th at 9:30am! Come and relax, sing, and reconnect to the wider web of creation. No previous experience needed, all voices welcome!

This month's song circle will be led by Lo Ziv Dancer who will teach simple, acapella songs with nature themes. We gather in the Council Circle of the Swedenborg Nature Habitat next to Garden Chapel Sanctuary. Park in the lower parking lot and follow the trail into the woodlands to the circle of tree stumps. Feel free to bring your own chair or blanket for comfort.

Join us on June 21st at 5:00pm for our first eco-spiritual book club of the year. We will be discussing the book: Rooted: Life at the Crossroads of Science, Nature, and Spirit by Lyanda Lynn Haupt. It is a brilliant invitation to live with the earth in both simple and profound ways—from walking barefoot in the woods and reimagining our relationship with animals and trees, to examining the very language we use to describe and think about nature. She invokes rootedness as a way of being in concert with the wilderness—and wildness—that sustains humans and all of life.

Please purchase the book on your own, in any format you prefer, or check it out from your local library.

When we meet on June 21st we will not only share our reflections but also engage in some of the earth-based spiritual practices found in the book together and commemorate the summer solstice and shift into summer. Light snacks will be provided; feel free to bring something to share too!

2nd Saturday Nature Song Circles
Come and sing in gratitude for our connection with the earth and all of life.

Every 2nd Saturday morning starting May 9th from 9:30am - 11:00am meet in the Council Circle inside the Emanuel Swedenborg Nature Sanctuary at Garden Chapel Sanctuary (1040 Dautel Ln 63146) for an acapella song circle with nature-themed songs. All ages and voices welcome! No cost to attend.

What does your body have to teach you about being calm, about being energized, about being grounded? What does your breath have to teach you about being alive? What does nature have to teach us about being and living AS resource?

Come explore these inquiries and more at our first monthly Movement & Meditation class: Wednesday, April 29th 6:30pm!

You can expect gentle guided movement (yoga & qi gong), awakening and calming breath practices, and simple meditative practice. Come for a time to rejuvenate your body, mind, and spirit in a beautiful natural setting. Experience the peace, groundedness, and vitality that you already are.

❤️ A huge THANK YOU to our amazing team of volunteers who showed up Saturday to help us complete the first section of trail and set up our beautiful council circle within the Emanuel Swedenborg Nature Sanctuary! They did a phenomenal job and we look forward to having more people engage with our more-than-human kin in this sacred space thanks to their hard work! ❤

Stay tuned for the next volunteer work day as we continue to build out the walking trail and care for this local ecosystem.
