On Tisha B'Av, we pause to remember the losses that have shaped our people—and to reflect on the work still before us. May this day of mourning deepen our commitment to compassion, unity, and rebuilding. From remembrance comes resilience, and from resilience, hope. 🕯️💙

Tishah B'Av commemorates the destruction of both ancient Temples in Jerusalem and other tragedies throughout Jewish history. It is observed with fasting, the reading of Lamentations, and quiet reflection. For Reform Jews, it is both a day of mourning and a testament to the resilience of the Jewish people: our ability to grieve, endure, and rebuild.
