Gen Z gets a lot of labels. But here is one they might not expect: the next generation of missionaries.
Nearly half the world’s population is under 30. In the Global South, young people make up the largest demographic of every unreached people group. The future of the mission field is young, and so are the people God is calling to reach it.

Gen Z is culturally diverse, globally aware, adaptable, and collaborative. They grew up crossing cultural lines and navigating complexity. Those are not just personality traits. They are exactly what the mission field requires.

If you are part of Gen Z and you have ever sensed a pull toward something bigger — this might be why. The world needs missionaries who look like the world they are going to reach.

Could that be you? agwm.org/nextgen

Different countries. Different languages. Same calling.

This Pastor Appreciation Month, we asked national pastors from around the world to finish this sentence: "Being a pastor in my country means ___." Their answers look different everywhere, but every one of them is leading a church that's growing because they said yes to stay and lead it.

Thank you to all the pastors carrying the local church forward around the globe.

AG World Missions Africa Region carries the bold vision to see a healthy church within walking distance of every African.

Not every major city. Every African. That means going to the villages where there is no church, the communities where the gospel has not been proclaimed, and the people groups who have never had the opportunity to say yes to Jesus.

867 unreached people groups. 411 with zero gospel witness at all. And a God who has not forgotten any of them.

Pray for the missionaries, national church partners, and that the church would continue to grow.

What is God doing in Japan, and could He be calling you to be part of it?

Japan is known for its cities, technology, traditions, and culture. But behind what you see is a tremendous need for the hope of Jesus. Missionaries serving there describe a country where less than 1% of the population is Christian.

Join AGWM NextGen for a virtual Field Tour where you'll meet missionaries serving across Japan, hear what ministry really looks like, and discover how you could be part of what God is doing there.

On October 29, we’re bringing Japan to you. Join us on Zoom at 7PM CT on Thursday, October 29th.

For 2,000 years, an entire people group had never had a single Christian among them. This year, that changed.

A team of AG World Missions global workers partners with the national church to train up young believers — teaching them to preach, read Scripture, disciple others, and plant churches in places where the church has never existed. Through their internship program, young people from across the nation are equipped and sent out each year to do exactly that.

This year, one of those young church planters went into their village with three others and kept coming back. A woman with stage III cancer was miraculously healed. She gave her life to Jesus and began sharing the gospel with everyone around her.

Today, there are 30 baptized believers. A church has been officially established and recognized by the government as the very first church in history among this people group.

Pray for this team and for the young church planters carrying the gospel to those without access.

Today is National Speed the Light Sunday — and in churches across the country, students are giving so missionaries can go.

It started with a simple idea: young people pooling their resources to put vehicles, equipment, and technology in the hands of missionaries reaching the most unreached places on earth. Decades later, that idea has helped advance the gospel to those without access around the world.

Today, we celebrate every student who has ever dropped something in an STL bucket or given online. And we invite anyone who wants to be part of what God is doing through Speed the Light to give today.
Every gift puts tools in the hands of missionaries bringing gospel access to the world’s most unreached communities.

Your church has a role to play in advancing the gospel to those without access. The Gospel Access Toolkit helps you communicate that vision clearly.

The toolkit is a free collection of resources for pastors, ministry leaders, and anyone passionate about global missions — designed to inform, inspire, and equip others to take their next step in the Gospel Access Vision.

It has been a few weeks since Fall Journey Training wrapped up. And we are still thinking about it.
26 Missionary Associates. 32 career missionaries. 58 sons and daughters of the church who said yes.
They came from different backgrounds, different churches, and different corners of the country. But they left with one shared direction: the mission field. Challenged, equipped, commissioned, and sent to bring the gospel to those without access.

Pray for every missionary who walked through Journey Training this fall. Their yes is already making an impact.

Sometimes the call to missions doesn't fit neatly into a two-week trip. And it doesn't have to.

A MAPS assignment is for those who are ready to commit 91 to 364 days — serving alongside missionaries on the ground, immersing themselves in a new culture, and investing in meaningful ministry. It is a chance to know if the field is where God is calling you next.
With AG World Missions, MAPS is one of the most powerful ways to take a concrete step toward long-term missions. You'll gain hands-on experience while advancing the gospel to those without access.
