We are a local church of Christians, whose mission is to "Be Disciples, Grow as Disciples & Make Disciples of Jesus Christ". We seek to wholeheartedly embrace what the Bible teaches and we strive to passionately live for Christ together in community, sharing our lives, our faith and the love of Christ with the world we live in. If you are looking for labels, we are an evangelical church that could be described as essentially reformed, baptistic and continuationist in our beliefs. Really though, we are not about labels - we want to be defined by who we follow: Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the Son of God.

Wallace Whale loves his home in the warm blue sea near the green island where he and Mama sing, eat, sleep, and play. But one day, Mama tells him about a big change—they’re leaving for a long journey North! Wallace is worried and has so many questions: What will the North be like? Will he be okay? As they swim into the unknown, Mama gently reminds Wallace: Wherever you go, whatever you do, God’s love follows you.

Lament is how you live between the poles of a hard life and trusting God's goodness. Lament is how we bring our sorrow to God--but it is a neglected dimension of the Christian life for many Christians today. We need to recover the practice of honest spiritual struggle that gives us permission to vocalize our pain and wrestle with our sorrow. Lament avoids trite answers and quick solutions, progressively moving us toward deeper worship and trust.

Exploring how the Bible--through the psalms of lament and the book of Lamentations--gives voice to our pain, this book invites us to grieve, struggle, and tap into the rich reservoir of grace and mercy God offers in the darkest moments of our lives.

We are having our annual fall picnic this Sunday after service. The church will provide the grill items, and we’re asking everyone to bring a full-size side dish to share. We’ll also be continuing our tradition of launching pumpkins! Bring a 10-pound pumpkin to be launched into the October sky!

As we walk through life the personal reality of suffering its pain and anguish becomes something we all experience. Tears, despair and hurt are commonplace in a broken world. How do we even contemplate singing at a time like this?

John Hindley takes us carefully through Psalm 44 teaching that God has sent our suffering for His sake. Suffering is not a mark of God's indifference towards us, or His hatred of us. Suffering is a mark of His love for us. It shows that we are His. We have a Saviour who is familiar with suffering, and we must run to Him not from Him.

The storm can be troubling and dark, but this Psalm will show you that even in the midst of the darkest times, God is working and you can trust and worship Him.
