The guys have been up all night, working through the fire and the rain!

They worked as an assembly line team to pull the pork out of the cookers and wrap each butt in aluminum foil, ensuring each one stays juicy through the slow cook process.

Now it’s time to pull the pork off the cookers and shred them for packaging!

BBQ palooza has begun! Advent men are already hard at work, prepping the meat and loading the two smokers. Volunteers will be here all night tending to the smokers and keeping an eye on things. Yet more volunteers will be here tomorrow, shredding and packaging the BBQ.

Reminder - pickup is on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the CLC dining room. And on Sunday, after the 10:30 service from the serving window in the gym.

Food with Friends is a simple and effective way to build deeper relationships with other men at Advent.

You’ll be randomly grouped with 2–3 other men, along with a designated leader, and your group will coordinate a time to grab a meal together.

No pressure, no agenda — just connection and community.
