Alhamdulillah, I have never been more proud of my students. There were 25 participants, ranging in age from 10 to 16 years old. They worked incredibly hard to memorize the book Khudh Al-Aqeedah min Al-Kitab wa As-Sunnah (خذ العقيدة من الكتاب والسنة), and every one of them did an amazing job.
Azhar was one of the top contestants and performed exceptionally well. Ruwayda also did an outstanding job, and I am so proud of both of them. May Allah make them among those who remain steadfast upon the religion and who spread its teachings with sincerity.
Azhar has been my student since she was 7 years old, and I could not be happier with her progress. She has now completed the Quran, Alhamdulillah.
For those who have known me over the past 14 years of teaching Quran, you know that my main goal has never been only for children to memorize. My greatest goal is for them to understand their religion, live by it, and build a strong connection with Allah. Memorization is important, but understanding and practicing the religion is what truly matters.
As a mother of four, I ask Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’ala) to make these students among those who carry this religion forward and benefit others with it. May Allah bless all of my students, increase them in knowledge, wisdom, and faith, and make them among the righteous.
