What We Believe


† We believe the bible to be the inspired, the only infallible Word of God; we believe it in its entirety
(2 Timothy 3:16)
† We believe that there is one God (Isaiah 45:22), eternally existent in three persons (The Trinity) Father, Son and The Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 John 5:7)
† We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His sinless life (John 3:16), in

His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection (1 Peter 2:21-24)
† His Ascension to the right hand of the Father where He reigns as King, and in His personal return to earth in power and glory (Colossians 3:1, Ephesians 1:20-23, Acts 1:11)
† We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, spiritual regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, and that salvation is received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as Messiah, Saviour and Lord, and not as a result of good works (Acts 17:30, Romans 10:9)
† We believe in music (the singing and playing of instruments) (Psalms 150)
† We believe in the indwelling and receiving of the Holy Spirit and the evidence of His presence by the speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4)

This Christmas, we celebrate the greatest gift ever given—Jesus.
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given” (Isaiah 9:6).

In a season filled with gratitude and giving, may our hearts remember the true reason for our joy. Jesus is God’s gift to the world—bringing hope, peace, love, and salvation to all.

The severe weather and flooding in our area have made this a challenging week for many, and we are lifting our community in prayer. For everyone’s safety, we are postponing Friday night’s Christmas program to Sunday, immediately following the morning service.

We’ll also have food and treats available, so no need to worry about lunch. Just come ready to celebrate together!

After the program, we’re looking for volunteers to help assemble bags and boxes for our December 17th Food Pantry giveaway. Your helping hands make a real difference.

What an incredible week of learning, laughter, worship, and fun! Our Vacation Bible School was filled with unforgettable moments with our amazing kids and volunteers.

A huge THANK YOU to every parent, child, teacher, and volunteer who made this week possible. Your time, love, and support helped plant seeds of faith that will continue to grow for years to come.

Faith Tabernacle World Ministries congratulates Pastor Donald Barker, and we joyfully celebrate his ordination into pastoral ministry. This sacred milestone is not only a testament to his personal calling but also a continuation of the powerful spiritual legacy passed down from his beloved grandmother, Dr. Edna E. Travis, and his mother, Apostle A.P. Barker, both faithful servants of the Lord.

As Paul wrote to Timothy:

“When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.”

— 2 Timothy 1:5–6 (KJV)

Pastor Barker, your life and ministry are a living testimony of that same unshakable faith. As you step into this next chapter, we know that God will continue to use you mightily to teach, lead, and serve His people.
