We’re looking forward to our upcoming Borderlands Produce P.O.W.W.O.W. on Saturday, May 30th, 7:00–9:00 AM at Desert Foothills UMC!

🍎 DUTA reservations open on Monday, May 25th.

To help the morning run smoothly, please review the following important details:

🚗 For produce pick-up guests (DUTA reservations required):

No cash donations accepted
Drive-thru distribution—please remain in your vehicle and follow volunteer directions
Please be patient as we move vehicles through safely and efficiently

🅿️ Parking/Pick up information:
Supporters should enter via 24th Street → Liberty Lane → west into the church lot
Volunteers should park on 20th Way or Saltsage
No volunteer parking will be available in the church lot

💚 This event is part of Arizona’s largest produce rescue program, helping reduce food waste while providing fresh food to families across our community.

We still need volunteers for our upcoming Borderlands Produce P.O.W.W.O.W. on Saturday, May 30th 💚

These events only happen because volunteers show up to serve our community with compassion, kindness, and care. From setting up and organizing produce to helping distribute reserved DUTA boxes, every role makes a difference.

📦 DUTA box reservations will open Monday, May 25th.

If you have a few hours to give, we would truly appreciate your help. Whether you’ve volunteered before or this would be your first time, we would love to have you join us.

Volunteer sign-ups are now open for our next Borderlands Produce P.O.W.W.O.W. on Saturday, May 30th!

We’re looking for volunteers to help make this event a success. Whether you’ve served before or this is your first time, there’s a place for you—and your help makes a real difference in bringing fresh produce and support to our community.

✨ Holy Week & Easter: A Journey of Faith and Celebration ✨

Our hearts are full as we reflect on the beauty of Holy Week and the joy of Easter! From the palm-filled praises of Palm Sunday, through the quiet, sacred moments of Holy Week, to the powerful celebration of Easter morning—each step drew us deeper into Christ’s story of love, sacrifice, and renewal.

Together, we remembered, we prayed, we sang, and we rejoiced. Easter Sunday was especially meaningful as we gathered in a sanctuary filled with hope, music, and the joy of the risen Christ.

We invite you to take a moment to view photos from these special services and relive the spirit of worship and community that makes our church family so special.

“What’s something in your closet that could change someone’s day today?”

Most of us have an extra hat, sunglasses, or reading glasses we don’t use anymore.

For seniors experiencing homelessness in downtown Phoenix, those simple items mean protection from the sun, dignity, and the ability to see clearly again.

We’re collecting:
• Hats (ball caps, straw hats, etc.)
• Sunglasses
• Reading glasses

All donations support seniors served by the Justa Center.

Drop off: Sundays, 9:15–10:00 AM

💜 Thank You, Ahwatukee Community! 💜

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support from our church family, local businesses, and the entire community for our Mardi Bra event at DFUMC.

Because of your generosity, we collected over 700 bras for the Justa Center, supporting homeless senior women and women transitioning into housing. These donations will provide comfort, dignity, and care for women who truly need it.

A heartfelt thank you to the businesses that hosted donation bins and to everyone who took the time to donate. Your kindness and generosity made this effort such a success.

This project was organized by our DFUMC Mission Team, and we are so thankful for a community that comes together to support our neighbors in need. 💜

It’s almost that time again…

The tiles are calling, the dragons are stirring, and someone is about to say, “Mahjong!” a little too loudly.

Join us at DFUMC on Thursday, Feb 26th at 6pm for a fun night of Mahjong filled with laughter, friendly competition, and just enough strategy to make you feel like a grand master (or at least look like one 😄).

Whether you’re a seasoned tile pro or still figuring out your bams from your dots, there’s a seat at the table for you. Bring a friend, bring your game face, and get ready for a night of fun and fellowship!

What a fantastic Mahjong game night we had last week at Desert Foothills!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fun, welcoming evening. It was wonderful to see both new and experienced players around the tables, learning, laughing, and enjoying the game together.

A special shoutout to Clair and Lynn for their incredible teaching — your patience and clear guidance made it easy and enjoyable for everyone to learn. And a huge thank you to Michelle and Lynn for getting this whole thing started. We’re so grateful for your initiative in bringing Mahjong to our community!

Good news… we’re doing it again!
Join us tomorrow — Thursday the 19th at 6pm — for another great night of Mahjong. Whether you came last week or are thinking about trying it for the first time, we’d love to see you there!
