Passage: Psalm 65

There is a lot of noise in the world that is aimed at really one thing: Causing fear, uncertainty and doubt.

However God is not a God of uncertainty, fear, or doubt. Instead he is a God of Salvation, Strength and Sustenance.

This Sunday we will be turning our attention to Psalm 65 to look at David’s Praise to God for being a good God who cares in order to give us courage and hope in our daily lives.

Last week we saw that to walk faithfully with God is an effort and we have to be vigilant, to protect ourselves from being over thrown by idols. This week we will look at how each of us have the inclination to worship things that are not God, and that because of this we can fall into idolatry if we are not careful.

In nature there are animals that have the ability to disguise themselves such as the Chameleon. They can blend in to their environment, mainly for defensive reasons. This week we read about Paul and that he is calling us to be kind of like these creatures. In this sermon we learn exactly what that means as He is calling us to meet the lost where they are. Join us this week as we continue on from Chapter 8 where we learn to be willing to give up our rights for the spiritual benefits of others.

We work hard at our jobs to glorify God, so that our fellow employees see Christ in us. We are kind and gentle and forgiving so that those who see us witness a testimony to the goodness of God.
