This summer, you can help bring comfort and encouragement to women and children living in domestic violence shelters throughout Northwest Indiana.

From June 1 through September 30, A Better Way Ministry Inc. is collecting new intimate essentials and personal care items that will be donated to participating domestic violence shelters during Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October.

Your donation is more than a gift.

It is a way to let survivors know they are seen, valued, and not alone. It is also a meaningful way to support the dedicated shelter staff who care for families as they begin rebuilding their lives.

But what happens when shelters are full?

What happens when there is nowhere safe to go?

Covered With Care was created to help bridge that gap.

Through emergency shelter support, transportation assistance, and community partnerships, A Better Way Ministry Inc. is working to ensure that survivors and their children have safe options during moments of crisis.

We believe no survivor should have to choose between abuse and homelessness.

This updated campaign reflects our vision, our commitment, and our heart for those we serve.

Love should feel safe.

Love should not leave you afraid.
Love should not control you.
Love should not isolate you from family and friends.
Love should not threaten, manipulate, or harm you.

Real love is built on respect, trust, kindness, and care.

If someone is hurting you physically, emotionally, verbally, financially, or spiritually, that is not love.

You deserve to be treated with dignity.
