There really aren’t enough words to express the overwhelming sense of love and gratitude that I feel.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who had a part in last weekend’s pastoral installation services. Everything on Saturday and Sunday was absolutely amazing.
To Saturday’s hosts: my brother, James E. Williams, Jr. and my friend, Faye Coatley and to my nephew, Pastor Duane Perkins, who served as Master of Ceremony on Sunday: thank you all for allowing God to use you in such a powerful way.
There are truly no words to describe the messages from our three speakers. Minister Martina Young, Dr. Kelvin Turner, and Dr. Kevin Wayne Cosby were nothing less than phenomenal. I’m still full!
The music that ministered throughout the weekend was so moving. Fourth Street sang for the glory of God and blessed us all tremendously. The St. Stephen Cathedral Choir, led by Minister Erica Taylor and Minister Troy Bell, along with the band, left us in awe. The soloists on both days were truly anointed and appointed. Thank you, Alma Randolph Crump (and Bryson Coleman), Bishop Robert Randolph, and Evangelist Chrislyn Smith!
Synthia Shelby’s poetry was one of a kind and absolutely perfect for the occasion. To everyone who participated on the program — those who read Scripture, prayed, gave welcomes, and served in any capacity — thank you for saying yes to God.
To every member of every committee: you went above and beyond and I can't thank you enough. May God richly bless each of you.
The decorations and food on both days were beautiful and carried out in a spirit of excellence.
To those who made sacrifices and traveled from near and far, I am beyond blessed to have such an incredible village of family and friends.
Thank you for every card, gift, text, call, social media post, word of support and encouragement, and every seed that was sown. I am forever grateful. I pray God's richest blessings over each of you for making that weekend one that I'll never forget.
Peace and blessings to you all,
Pastor Rhonda M. Pearson
