Last evening the Knight’s council hosted a prayer service unique to the Knights of Columbus known as the Silver Rose, in honor of Juan Diego and the miracle of the roses, an important part of the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Since 1960, a silver rose has made a pilgrimage from Canada to the boarder of Mexico, where it eventually makes it way to the Basilica in Monterrey, Mexico on December 12, the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The Silver Rose is currently making its way through the Ohio Valley, and we were fortunate to secure it for our service, which was presented in both English and Spanish.

Many thanks to Brother Knights Gustavo Gonzalez - who coordinated the service with the Hispanic community, and Eric Humphrey who assisted with the prayer service. Thank you also, Fr. Kalombo for presiding.
