This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

We are deeply grateful for the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of those who served—and for the families who carry both the pride and the weight of that sacrifice.

Today, we remember. We honor. And we give thanks.

Praying for peace and comfort as we reflect together this Memorial Day weekend. Thank you. 🩵

This week, we’re honored to introduce one of our new elders, Dara Giuliani.

Dara and her husband Chris have been missional partners of OP Church and Christ Connect since 2007. They met after attending the University of Missouri and will celebrate 24 years of marriage this July. They have two daughters: Sofia, a journalism major at the University of Missouri, and Lauren, who will attend Pepperdine University this fall to study sports medicine.

Dara taught 6th grade in Lee’s Summit before staying home to raise their daughters. She now serves as a substitute teaching leader for Bible Study Fellowship in Olathe, sits on the board of Barefoot Mission, and volunteers as a victim advocate with Value Unconditional.

Some of Dara’s favorite memories at Christ Connect include teaching children and serving as a counselor during Summer in the Son.

Chris currently serves as CEO of Spring Venture Group and is involved in several civic and community organizations throughout Kansas City. Together, Dara and Chris enjoy doing life alongside so many people in our church family and are grateful to call Christ Connect home.

We’re thankful for the wisdom, care, and servant-hearted leadership Dara brings to our church family. 🤍
