Are you a Mary or a Martha, when it comes to being Jesus' friend? Today 2/8/26 in ViP Kidz, we learned that Jesus wants to be our friend! He says Mary chose the best thing - spending time with him. The more we get to know Jesus, we know what he wants for us, how much he loves us, and what his purpose is for us.

Bible Reading: Luke 10:38-42
Main Point: Jesus wants to be our friend
Memory Verse: Isaiah 43:1

Jesus visits his friends Mary & Martha. Martha gets upset because she's doing all the cooking while Mary just sits and talks to Jesus. Jesus says it's most important to spend time with him. That's because he want to be our friend.

Why it matters: Some kids might not feel like they have enough friends. They might feel lonely or unpopular. Help them see that no matter what their social status is, Jesus wants to be their friend!

Think about: What do you like in a friend? How does Jesus show those qualities?

Pray: Especially for kids who are struggling with friendships. Help them truly understand that there is someone who wants to be their friend - JESUS!

Hello Friends!
This week (2/22/26) in ViP Kidz, our kids spent time learning that God made us and knows us.

Bible reading: Psalm 139:1-4
Main Point: God made us and knows us.
Memory Verse: Isaiah 43:1

David writes a song about how God knows everything about us. God knows when we sit or stand, what we think about, when we travel, when we're home, and what we're going to say. There's nothing about us that is hidden from God!

Why it matters: One of the greatest human emotional needs is to be known and seen. So often kids (and adults) can be present but not feel seen or like anyone really knows them. Help them see that God knows everything about them--and loves them intensely.

Think About: What's one thing about you that you wish more people knew? What's an aspect of yourself you wish you understood better?

Pray: For kids (and adults) to build strong relationships so they feel known by God and by their friends and church family.

This week Feb 1, 1010 at ViP Kidz We learned that God gives us do-overs.

Bible reading: Genesis 6:9-9:17
Main Point: God gives us do-overs.
Memory Verse: Genesis 1:1

God is sad that he ever made the world because there's so much evil. So he decided to destroy most of it with a flood and start over again. He chooses Noah to build an ark and save his family as well as animals and birds. After a long time on the ark, Noah and his family step into a fresh start for the world. God give us do-overs.

Why it matters: Kids know that sinking feeling when they've done something wrong. Although this Bible story demonstrates a punishment for sin, it also shows God's mercy and compassion in giving humankind another chance. Help kids see that God gives THEM do-overs.

Think about a time you got a do-over. What did you do differently?

Pray that our kids will understand God's mercy and experience do-overs.

This Sunday (January 11, 2026) was a lot of fun in Kid’s Church!!!

Bible reading: Genesis 3
Main Point: God lets us choose between goid & evil.
Memory Verse: Genesis 1-1

Adam & Eve are in Paradise-The garden of Eden. There’s only one tree they aren’t allowed to eat from. But a sneaky seroent tells Eve she could be like God if she eats the fruit from THAT tree. Eve makes the choice to disobey God, and then Adam does too. Then they’re punished & kicked out of the garden. God lets us choose between goid & evil, just as he let Adam & Eve make their choice.

Why it matters: Kids are faced with choices every day. This lesson helps them distinguish between good and bad choices and to recognize that wrong choices have consequences.

Think about: What’s a tough choice you had to make? How did God help you see what the right decision was?

Pray for God to help your kids choose good over evil.

January 4, 2026.
Bible reading-Genesis 1-2:24.
Main point-God created us for a reason.
Memory Verse Genesis 1:1.

In just six days, God made everything in the world. He made a perfect place to live, and then he made his most special creation - humans. God made us in his image to rule over his creation. God created us for a reason.

Why it matters: Many kids are trying to figure out what their purpose is. They may feel they have to wait until they’re grown-ups to know why God created them. This lesson helps kids to see that we can be in a relationship with God at any age-and that’s our purpose.

Think about: What’s special about the way God made you? How have you used those special traits to serve God?

Pray for kids to feel valued and important as they learn why God made them.
