As we conclude our summer series, let's look at how Jesus ends his biggest sermon, the sermon on the mount. Jesus teaches through Matthew 5 and 6 what living the kingdom life looks like. In Matthew 7, Jesus offers 8 questions that we can ask ourselves to see if we are actually living that life. So what does God call us to do in response to everything He's done for us...produce fruit.

If someone saw your calendar and bank account, what priorities would they see? What do you value most? Where do you choose to invest what is most important to you? As we continue our series on Verse to Live By, exploring Who God is, What God has Done, and What God Calls Us to do in Response, we're going to look at God's call to become a disciple of His Son Jesus. Join us as we explore what following Jesus in today's context looks like?

📖 **Verse of the Week**

A new week, a new verse to carry with us.

Don’t just read it once and move on—write it down, say it out loud, put it somewhere you’ll see it, and let God’s Word shape the way you walk through this week.

We hear a lot about love in culture. From culture's call to love our country, our parent's expectation that we fall in love and get married, to dating apps that promise to find our perfect match. The problem is that culture defines love as a noun (something that comes and goes) based on a feeling. The Bible paints a much different picture of love. The Bible defines love as a choice lived out through action. Jesus set the bar very high when He said loving God and loving others were the greatest commandments. Today we're going to look at what the Bible says about love and how we are called to love well.

We live in a culture that teaches us to focus on ourselves, and that to be happy we need more. We need more money, more stuff, and more power. But if we buy into this lie, we eventually learn that more doesn't satisfy. More doesn't deliver on the promise of happiness. Today, as we look at what God asks of us, we're going to look at God's call for us to give Him everything; our time, talents, and treasure. Today we're going to see how living simply, generously, and with a focus on eternity is the only way to have the lasting joy that we're all searching for.
