You can't build big houses on small foundations. Anyone who knows me knows I like big houses at least 6 bedrooms to start. Many of the saints are living in what I call survival mode, they look the part of abundance, but they are barely making it.

In Matthew 7:25 both houses were built, but one failed and one stood. You know why? The foundation of it was not good, while they other one built it on a solid rock.

One time I was having a storm in my church and some people were giving problems and my late pastor Bishop Daniel M. Jordan said to me in his office, "you gotta make up your mind, either you are going to build a church of quaninty or quality". Just because you have a packed house doesn't mean its effective.

Today I get more done without that group then I did when I had a packed church. I work hard to make sure that every member of my church where I pastor is strong in the word. I don't jump on every band wagon or dance on every set, I take into consideration, is this going to help our church or will we waste time doing this task?

Work on making your church strong in the word. It will show in the time of storms what you are made of.

Fear is a big destoyer of destiny, fear of getting it wrong and so on. I walked away from the first church I pastored because I was afraid of what people would think.

I was just talking to a lady evangelist on a trip I was on and she was saying that she is "waiting on the Lord for her ministry" and I just shook my head, and wondered to myself why is she burying the very thing she says God has called her to do?

Most Christians are not stuck in the marketplace because of fear so they will quote scripture and use prayer as an excuse not to move in the vineyard or the marketplace. Don't let this be you.

If your job was to let you go this week, what would you do? It happened to me back in 1999 and thats when I started the Focus For Life Group Talk Radio Show I had $82.00 and a computer, and it was either sink or swim.

I was on a job and I got comfortable, and the Lord had to shut the door on me to get me to move into my purpose.

When I was on my job they told me 3 things:

When to come to work and when I could leave
When to take my lunch and breaks
and how much I was worth (salary)

I am not saying that jobs are bad, but most times God has you there to learn the industry and to prepare you for your own.

The point I am trying to get you to see is know your purpose, so if they cut you off, lay you off or whatever, you can still fly.

Always remember that your blessing is on the other side of obeying God's word, money ALWAYS follows purpose.

Success is not competition, I don't measure my success by other people I measure it by how I know what my abilty is. I am my biggest critic, and my late pastor used to always tell me its not what you expect but its what you inspect. Give you best in what you do and the rest will fall in line.

Never and I mean never do business with people who don't respect you. You teach people how to treat you by what you allow. I am also that way when it comes down to the church. I never allow disrespect when I am spending the money God entrust to my hands. I have gotten up from the table and walked away from deals because of disrespect. If I give you respect, then I expect the same thing in return. Always remember you have options and if you want my business you must earn it and appreciate it or we don't deal.

Sometimes your job can be your graveyard. This is why God allowed them to fire you, because he wanted your gift to come forth.

When I got fired from this one job, it was the best thing that happened to me because it made me move to my own business and now I make more money than I have ever made, and I am able to work more on my purpose instead funding others while I live a nightmare.
