Churches worldwide are coming together to adopt a major new Christian festival: the Feast of Creation, also known as Creation Sunday!

This monumental ecumenical commitment is a powerful sign of unity amongst the global Christian family. It is also a prophetic gesture that the Church is responding to the groaning of creation. With origins in the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Feast is being embraced by most major Christian traditions.

Celebrated on the first Sunday of September, this is an opportunity to praise God as Creator and ponder the great mystery that everything was created through Christ.

The Feast also coincides with the month-long Season of Creation, which Grace Church celebrates each year culminating on the Feast of St. Francis on October 4th with the blessings of the animals.

On Sunday, September 13th, we will gather as a parish community for a special Single Service Sunday! Please note that there will be no 8:00 AM or 10:00 AM services at the church on this day.

Instead, we will regather at 10:00 AM under the pavilion at Bear Brook State Park. The main entrance and park office address is 157 Deerfield Rd, Allenstown, NH 03275. We will start with “Mass on the Grass,” followed immediately by a community BBQ with hamburgers, hot dogs, and more. Please consider bringing a light, foldable portable chair.

To help us prepare, please check out the sign-up sheets at the church:
Side Dishes: Sign up on the sheet in the Great Hall if you are able to bring a side dish to share.
Carpooling: Sign up on the sheet in the back of the church if you can offer a ride or if you are in need of a ride.

We can’t wait to regather and celebrate together!

Please join us at any of the following Meet & Greet sessions:

● Thursday, October 8th at 3:00 pm - Holderness School, Holderness
