Members, and Friends, starting today we will be participating in the summer food drive for Sweet Evening Breeze!

At Sweet Evening Breeze, Inc. We provide Louisville’s LGBTQ+ young adults experiencing homelessness with an open and affirming environment, while connecting our residents to vital resources.
Checkout their page or website to learn more great things - let’s help out by providing the needed supplies listed on this post. Look for sales and pickup a couple extra if possible.

- Bottle Water
- Granola Bars
- Crackers/Cracker Sandwiches
- Canned Sausages (w/pull tab)
- Cup Ramen Noodles

We will have a donation box located at the front of the sanctuary. Feel free to drop stuff off before or after service on Sunday mornings anytime between 9am and 12 noon. Now — June, 14th.

Hello, friends and members of St. John!

We are incredibly excited to have Kim and her team back again on May, 17th for another Souper Server event!

Congregants have been busy getting the word out and collecting clothing items for donation. If you, your friends, or loved ones have the ability to donate. We have a collection area set up at the front of the church! You are welcome to drop off any donations Sunday morning before or after service (9am-12pm).

Happy Derby Season Louisville! This past week some of our congregants participated in the fun! We made our very own Derby hats during our Third Thursday game night. You’re invited to see the creations for yourself. We will have our hat Sunday, April 26th! Service will be at 10:30am, we invite you to come wearing your personal favorite hat!

This past Saturday 3/28, we at St. John UCC were blessed to open our doors to so many in the NuLu community! During Bock Fest, we shared laughs, ate good food, and provided a space for our loyal sports fans to check the score.
It’s always amazing to hear stories from those who have family ties to the church, got married in the church, or have passed by but never been in. We witnessed so many people taking a moment to sit in the calm. It’s a truly moving experience. In world that is so busy and noisy, we love being a safe space for all to come and ponder their thoughts.
Looking ahead, we will be open for NuLu Nights on April 17th! Be sure and say hello, we love seeing all in our community!
