Louisville Seminary

Louisville Seminary Educate. Care. Work for justice everywhere.

05/28/2026

The Seminary’s fiscal year ends May 31 and I am asking you to join me and others in making a gift to this wonderful institution.

We are all stewards of LPTS, and it is simply not enough to continue just doing what’s been done in the past. We must expand and flourish – and that takes resources. Gifts from supporters like you ensures Louisville Seminary grows its financial health and stability and can be here for those who’ve been called for generations to come.

LPTS needs donor support. I thank you in advance for your generosity and for being counted among those who prioritize the work, training, and care that the seminary provides.

With humble appreciation,
Rev. Lant Davis, MDiv '01; 2025-26 Faithful Steward Alum Award Recipient

✨ Meet Our Moderator: Dr. Teah L. Moore ✨

Join us tomorrow, May 28 for “Faithfully Formed Children,” a meaningful conversation designed to encourage and equip parents and caregivers seeking to nurture Christian faith in everyday life.

Moderated by Dr. Teah L. Moore - educator, author, ordained minister, counselor, and researcher - this special panel discussion will explore practical ways families can pass along faith traditions, values, and spiritual practices to the next generation.

With over 30 years of experience working alongside children and families, Dr. Moore brings wisdom, compassion, and deep insight into the connection between spirituality, care, and formation.

🎓 Congratulations Class of 2026!👏

Representing various degree programs - including the Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Religion, Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, and Doctor of Ministry - the Class of 2026 embodies the Seminary’s deep commitment to proclaiming the Gospel, caring for all, and working for justice.

On May 16, they were warmly welcomed into the LPTS Alum Association, and reminded that they are supported by an international network of faith leaders. Prepared to serve as pastors, therapists, chaplains, and public theologians, these new alums leave our campus ready to bring compassionate leadership and transformative ministry to communities everywhere.

I felt the presence of God’s Holy Spirit the moment I stepped onto our lovely campus and I immediately knew there was something special about Louisville Seminary.

I quickly realized that I didn’t just step on a seminary campus – I stepped into a community where professors challenge students while demonstrating profound compassion and cohorts didn’t compete, but instead journeyed alongside one another, cheering each other on.

May 31 marks the end of LPTS’s fiscal year, and I invite you to join me and hundreds of others supporting this special institution. Your gift will ensure others receive the same training I did when they’re called to be the light during someone’s darkest moment.

With sincere gratitude,
Rev. Dr. Stephanie Welsh Walker, DMin '21; 2025-26 First Decade Alum Award Recipient
