Join us at Midtown Church every Sunday at 10:30 AM! We gather weekly at the Delta Athenaeum: 900 E Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108 ⛪️

Each weekend, we come together around the things the Church has always gathered around: prayer, scripture, song, bread, and cup. In doing so, we learn what it means to live as citizens of His Kingdom.
Kids are always welcome in the Gathering.

Childcare is available for children under eight years old, and older kids are invited to join their families in the main gathering.

This past Sunday, we were reminded that so often we hold tightly to our time, our preferences, and our comfort. But in God’s Kingdom, we don’t find life by holding on, we find it by laying it down and serving others.

So what does that actually look like for us as a community?

The biblical vision for the church is as the body of Christ: one body but with many, different parts. We want everyone—in all our differences and distinctiveness. We desire to be a place where many do a few things instead of the few doing many.

In this church, we care far more for you as a person than what part you can play. However, we recognize that part of being a family is sharing the load and each of us playing a part. So the message is simple: don’t stand on the sidelines, jump in and play your part as we reveal the Kingdom of Jesus, together, in Kansas City.

If you’re ready to get involved, we’d love to help you find a place to serve. Check out our story on how to get connected.

Serving isn’t just about meeting needs. It’s one of the ways God grows us, stretches us, and draws us deeper into life with Him.

We desire to be a church of many workers, not a community where some do all, but where all do some.

If Midtown is your church home, we invite you to take a step and serve. We’re especially in need of Hospitality, Worship, and Kids volunteers, but there are many ways to get involved!

Following Jesus was never meant to be a solo journey. Sometimes the difference between giving up and pressing on is simply having someone next to you saying, “let’s do this together.”

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” –Hebrews 10:23–25

We weren’t meant to follow Jesus alone. From the beginning, the assumption was that Jesus followers would gather with other Jesus followers. But somewhere along the way, it became easy to drift toward two extremes: trying to follow Jesus on our own or assuming simply showing up is enough.

The invitation is something deeper, a life formed together, rooted in both presence and practice.
