Well, we had a productive day, even though we were few in number. The roofs on and back porch deck done, but the painting did not get finished bc most of our day was spent scraping. A great start, but we’ll have to have one more work day. We talk in class tomorrow. Thanks to those who could help today and Christy is grateful and thrilled.

Most of you already know our friend, Scott Martinsen, but there’s always something new we can learn about what shaped and molded Scott into who he is today! Come and hear a great testimony and enjoy a great meal, on September 5th. Meal begins at 5:15 and worship and testimony at 6:00.

I’m a lifelong member of this community and church here in Eudora. I absolutely love the 490 ministry and have tried to support it as often as possible. I always take away something from every testimony I have ever heard shared.
It’s now my turn to speak of some of my life experiences and struggles I have faced during my life as a Christian growing up in a Christian home, marrying a Godly woman, and having kids that have Christ at the center of their lives. I will be here speaking about what most everyone already knows. That while we all come from different upbringings, backgrounds, with different stories, we ALL struggle not to be derailed by Satan and continuously look to stay on the tracks that God wants us to travel. While our chains might be different, we all need Jesus Christ to help us break them.
I want to help set an example to others and give them confidence and courage to share their story with a group of people who love and support them. And that if I can do this, you can as well!
I’m excited to see you all there!

We had the best night tonight at Pizza and Prayer! We had approximately 100 adults and children that got a meal, prayer and school backpacks! Thank you Rian for always heading this up and all those who made it out to serve! What a blessing. Eudora Baptist Church

What a great weekend at 490 and Eudora Baptist we had. Not only was our 5 year celebration a fantastic night, but it poured right over into our class Sunday morning.

Just another thank you to Muriel and Clayton for sharing their God stories with us, but also to the MANY hands, feet and prayers that make 490 work. Without you there would be no outreach!

Have a blessed week and be praying for Scott Martinson, who will be our next speaker on September 12th. We will push it back one week because of Labor Day.

To say it was a wonderful night would be a huge understatement. Over a 100 people came to celebrate with us tonight and it was a great night! So proud of our friend Muriel and even that husband of mine.

Some of the best fish, fried chips and homemade ice cream I have ever had. Thank you to Rhonda, Jeff and Sam Barnhouse and Steve Shepard for all your hard work!

The true heroes of the night were the childcare workers! They had a slew of them!

God is good and thank you to all who came and those who wanted to but couldn’t make it.

We love to talk about the love, mercy and grace from our Lord. Yes, that is true. What we don’t talk about as much, is the “Now go, and sin no more.” He is also just and right. There will always be consequences and discipline to train us. You can watch this short video instead of reading, but it is a great way to save the scripture references. Why did Jesus tell people to “go and sin no more” if sinlessness is impossible? Is it possible to be completely and permanently free from sin?

Everything is set up and ready to go for a wonderful night of celebration for our 5th year 490 Outreach! Look what God has done! We will start with a Fishfry and homemade ice cream at 5:15. Worship and testimony at 6:00.
