490 Hope For The Hurting

490 Hope For The Hurting We have a small group class every Sunday morning at Eudora Baptist starting at 9:45 for the “490” group that includes teaching, sharing and healing.

490 is an outreach for those with current or past hurts and struggles, providing biblical principles and support to help overcome and move forward, providing hope for a brighter future. We also have a monthly outreach the first Saturday of each month that starts with a meal at 5:15 pm. followed by worship and a different testimony each month, full of encouragement and hope! Our goal is to reach th

ose who do not necessarily feel comfortable in a regular church small group and are needing more practical teachings and support for current or past hurts. Divorce, addiction, abuse, betrayal, just to name a few. Maybe you are just struggling to move on and need hope and encouragement. We want you just as you are because we as a church want to help you get there TOGETHER.

So excited for our next 490 testimony on June 6th. Meet DeWitt, aka, some of our dearest friends. We are so excited for you to hear this testimony and we know you will walk away encouraged and full of hope!

Hello, my name is DeWitt Fifer. I am from Everton, MO. My wife Holly and I have been married for almost 29 years. We have been blessed with a daughter named Autumn who is now 21 years old. I was saved at the young age of 8. I was raised in church and brought up in what I would consider a Christian home. I began to fall away from the church and God when I was a teenager. I struggled with life and endured many tragedies in my late teens. I began chasing the world to help me forget my troubles. About 14 years ago I walked into a little church in Everton, where God got ahold of my heart and changed my life forever. I had meaning in my life and purpose to my heart again. God put many people in my path to help me grow in my faith and discover what it means to live a life for Christ.

Excited to share a little about our next 490 testimony speaker with you that will be coming up this Saturday night, May 2nd, starting with a great meal at 5:15 and worship and testimony beginning at 6:00.

My name is Jacquelynn Alden.
I live in Everton, and have for the past five years. I have been married to John for 30 years this June. We have three kiddos and one grandson who is so sweet!
My story is one that I like to share because it is just too awesome to be silent about!
I grew up in a very abusive situation, but God gave me the strength and desire to forgive. With that forgiveness came blessings! I am excited to share my story with you, because I know God wants to bless you with freedom in this area too!

Childcare is provided for 5th grade and under.
