A new chapter begins this Sunday.

We are excited to officially welcome Pastor Brett Crimmel as he preaches his first message as Discovery’s new Lead Pastor.

When we asked Brett what passage has shaped his ministry, he shared 2 Corinthians 5:17:

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Brett added, “It’s a new day, regardless of what happened yesterday. Our God is a God of fresh starts and new beginnings.”

That message feels especially meaningful as we enter this new season together.

At Discovery, our vision is:

Together, we follow Jesus, being transformed by Him and living on mission to make Him known in our homes, community, and the world.

Brett is excited to join in what God is already doing here, to build relationships, preach God’s Word, and help us continue living out this vision together.

Join us this Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, at 10:30 AM as we welcome Pastor Brett and Tricia and begin this next chapter as our church family.

VBS may be over, but the truths we learned are meant to stay with us.

At Kingdom Quest, our kids heard five simple reminders:

Jesus is the way.
Jesus is with me.
Jesus is alive.
Jesus makes me new.
The Holy Spirit helps me.

Those are not just kids’ lessons. They are truths every one of us needs.

When we feel lost, Jesus is the way.
When life feels overwhelming, Jesus is with us.
When hope feels gone, Jesus is alive.
When we fail, Jesus makes us new.
When we feel weak, the Holy Spirit helps us.

Ahoy, mateys! What a remarkable adventure on Kingdom Quest Night 4! 🏴‍☠️

After bein’ released from the brig, I set sail straight into the adventure and witnessed a powerful tale about Peter. I heard Peter denied knowin’ Jesus three times, just as Jesus had foretold. Peter was filled with sorrow over his mistakes, but the story didn’t end there!

We learned that Jesus didn’t give up on Peter. Instead, Jesus forgave him, restored him, and gave him an important mission: To help build His Church and care for His people. What an amazin’ reminder that our failures don’t have to define us!

The greatest treasure I discovered tonight was Jesus makes us new. No matter where we’ve been, what mistakes we’ve made, or how far we’ve wandered, Jesus offers forgiveness, restoration, and a fresh start.

This old pirate left the night with a heart full of hope and gratitude for a Savior who makes all things new!

⚓️ Until tomorrow, adventurers - our Kingdom Quest leads us back in time to Bible times! Strap on your sandals and get ready for our final quest.
