Rock River Bible Camp is a camping facility located east of Dixon off Illinois Route 2, easily reached from Rockford, Freeport, Chicago and Illinois-Iowa Quad Cities. Our facilities are perfect for hosting week long or weekend Retreats for churches, Christian schools and ministry organizations with the ability to plan and staff your own program! We also host our own series of week long camps for students in first grade through high school seniors. Rates are low for overnight or day use, with additional discounts available. Rustic cabin accommodations- each sleeping ten, with separate restroom and shower facilities, for up to 100 guests! Two cabins are complete with heat and shower facility. Our dining hall is equipped with plenty of tables and a wood burning fireplace that serves as a central meeting or activity room. A recently renovated kitchen is also available for your own camp cooking. Our cedar Chapel, overlooking the Rock River, is available for worship or teaching and our full-size gymnasium for basketball, volleyball and other indoor group activities is located at the top of the hill! A picnic shelter/pavilion is nestled on the river bank, which provides an additional gathering place, with nearby fire pit. With wooded trails for outdoor recreation and education and the Rock River available for boating, canoeing and fishing, you won't be able to get enough of the outdoors!

As we approach our busiest time of the year with all kinds of work happening at camp and our grounds soon filling up with campers we want to remind everyone that we are volunteer run.
We will do our best for your kids and we ask that everyone show that same kindness when interacting with our staff and each other at camp or online.
We know we have been given unconditional, unending love from the Father. May we show that same kind of love, grace, and mercy to one another.

As of last night the rec hall insulation that will come down is off the walls and ceiling and all the debris is cleaned up!
Thank you to everyone who made this project possible! Lots of hands and hours went into this much needed update to the space.
We know our deans are looking forward to seeing how this change will positively affect our weeks in the summer.
Thank you again to all who donated time and money! We appreciate you!

Just a little glimpse of the group we want to thank this month. It's our pastors!
Our pastors provide valuable insight and biblical guidance to our board every month, at our camps, and to many of our campers and volunteers year round.
While six churches are officially considered our member churches (Afolkey Grace, Cedarville Emmanuel, Dixon Bethel, Hooppole Calvary, Park Hills, and T.A.C.O) we know many more churches and pastors support the work that happens at RRBC.
We know we don't have photos to highlight all of the pastors who are involved in the work of the kingdom but we are so grateful for your hard work and for your love for RRBC.

If you know your church is involved and want to inquire about our board or membership head over to the sponsor page of our website - https://www.rockriverbiblecamp.org/sponsors

Today we honor Pauline DeVries who went home to be with her Lord on May 14, 2026, at 95 years old. We know she's at last in glory.

Pauline and her family are long-time attenders and supporters of Rock River Bible Camp and Bethel E.C. Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and prayer group member for years. She also delivered Meals on Wheels and was a true caretaker of the people around her. She loved well, she served faithfully, and she prayed without ceasing.

We are so grateful she was part of this community.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 25 at 11:00 am at Bethel E.C. Church in Dixon, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Memorials in Pauline's honor may be directed to Rock River Bible Camp.

Please keep the entire DeVries family close in your prayers as they grieve and celebrate a life so faithfully lived. 🤍

If you’ve been in the Rec Hall in recent years you know it has been in need of some love and attention.
Well it’s getting just that over the next week as the insulation is coming down thanks to some volunteers!
We are so excited that this much needed work is happening and can wait to see what is looks like when done!
We will do our best to keep everyone updated about this on going project.
Thank you to those willing to do the work and to the board for finding the funds so that equipment could be rented to complete the job!

We wanted to share that among the things added to our photo archive in the last month were images like this one from 1968 of our chapel being built!
We are excited to have these items and work on digitizing them to share with everyone.
We'd love for you to reach out to your camp representative at church or this page to send items in. If you have negatives or slides for a projector we can digitize and add those to the growing collection too!
If you want to see more of the pictures that have been added recently head over to our website and look for Photo Archives under the Camps and Retreats tab or at the very bottom of our website.

The entrance to camp is looking a little different today. Recent weather caused damage to the fence meaning it had to be removed.
On the plus side there's less to mow around at the moment and you can really see our sign now!
