Throughout the bible God invites humans to join with him in His purpose and plan of redemption. Jesus invited His disciples to follow Him (Matt 4:19) and they invited others to do the same (Matt 28: 16-20). In the book of Acts after the day of Pentecost and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit the early church grew exponentially by inviting other to come taste and see that Lord is good (Act 2:42-47).

Modern day Christianity has mostly abandoned this organic invitation model and adopted a more rigid apologetic centered model that that focuses more on what rather than in Whom we believe which has rendered the majority of Christ followers e-van-ge-pho-bic.
