🎶 Little voices, ancient words! 🎶
This week in children’s church, our kids dove into one of the oldest songs in the Christian tradition: the Gloria Patri (UMH #70)!
We learned that this beautiful doxology has been sung by Christians for over 1,500 years, and now our kids are part of that story too.
We broke it down phrase by phrase:
🔵 WHO we praise — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost
🟢 WHEN we praise — in the past, right now, and forever
🟡 HOW LONG — world without end!
🟣 AMEN — “Yes! We agree!”
Ask your child to sing it for you this week…you might be surprised what they remember! The more they hear it at home, the more natural it will feel when we sing it together in worship every Sunday.
We are so grateful for these kids and the joy they bring to our church family. 💙
