It’s His heart I want beating in my chest. His breath when I breathe and His faith when I can’t see.
For so long I’ve looked to things/people to help fight my battles, absolve my loneliness at times or give me a sense of self worth, but I know longer look for those things in others or things, for He is the only one I need in the midst of it all.
I have held others to a standard that I know myself impossible to achieve, what I needed or thought I needed from them was more than what they are capable of. We can’t expect to get what we ourselves aren’t able to give.
This life isn’t about what someone can do for us or give us, it’s about what He has already done and continues to do.
That moment when we’ve woke, finally understanding His Word, is the moment we find the peace that only He can give.
When we look to others we not only set ourselves up for failure, but them as well. We ask for forgiveness, we attempt to make peace even when it’s not received and keep going.
It is no one else’s responsibility to make us happy, we find that within ourselves, by Gods grace and His perfect love and sacrifice. And trust me when I say, His love for us runs deeper than just a feeling.
In any circumstance and through every trial, remember who you are. You are a child of the One True King and there is no one who can take away your crown unless you let them.
Still love with all you have, be kind every chance you get and remember, always extend Grace.
Coming from someone who is absolutely perfectly unequivocally imperfect, live like today was your last day and love like you have nothing to lose. ❤️
And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. ~ Ephesians 3:18-19~
