Juniper Bay Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a passionate, biblically grounded, and ministry-minded Associate Pastor to join our pastoral team.
We are looking for a servant leader who loves God's Word, has a heart for people, and is passionate about developing mature disciples of Jesus Christ across every generation.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Working alongside the Senior Pastor, the Associate Pastor will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for our church's discipleship and family ministries, including Sunday School, Children's Ministry, Student Ministry, Adult Discipleship, and Pastoral Care.
This pastor will play a vital role in equipping ministry leaders, developing volunteers, and helping families grow in their relationship with Christ and His Church.
HOURS
This is currently a Part-Time salaried position with Sunday Services, Wednesday Services, Special Events, and Pastoral Care as the primary duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and lead a comprehensive, church-wide discipleship strategy.
Equip and support our Children's Director, Youth Director, and our Sunday School leadership Team.
Train and encourage teachers and ministry volunteers.
Coordinate Church-wide Sunday School participation and biblical education.
Preach and teach as needed throughout the year at the request of the Senior Pastor (Approx. 6 Sundays a year).
Lead in pastoral care, hospital visitation, and member support in coordination with the deacons.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrates a genuine and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Meets the biblical qualifications for pastoral ministry (1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:6–9).
Affirms the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
Is ordained and has received ministry training through a like-minded church, college, and/or seminary.
Is a gifted teacher of God's Word and an effective communicator.
Demonstrates strong leadership, organizational skills, integrity, and a heart for missions.
Has a passion for discipleship, family ministry, and building up the local church.
