Dignity Diner

Every Tuesday at 5:30pm, we serve a free dinner to our food & shelter-insecure neighbors. Volunteers arrive around 4:00/4:30pm. Diversey Pkwy, Chicago, IL 60614.

501(c)(3) status Every Tuesday, 3-10 volunteers are needed to help prepare, pack, and serve 50-60 meals outside for our guests to pick up curbside. We start serving the dinners at 5:30pm and we're usually done by 6:15pm. To volunteer, sign up under the Eve

nts tab or send us a message. We gladly welcome donations of food (must serve 50+ people) and cases of bottled water. The cost of weekly dinners is approximately $300, so financial donations towards the dinners are much appreciated. Checks can be mailed to Dignity Diner, 925 W. It might actually be!!☀️🌈

This past week had us loving our blue skies for one of our final grill outs of the summer!! The classic hot dog and hamburger were accompanied by mac and cheese and baked beans, a perfect summer dinner.🌭🍔🫘

We also served delicious sliced watermelon with our usual salads!🍉

We were seriously treated with volunteer Sydney’s special Strawberry and Raspberry jello poke cake. The fruit was the perfect touch to this sweet treat. Thank you Sydney!!🍓

Our amazing lunch crews of New Life West Lakeview and CB Real Estate LLC helped us end the night with amazingly-packed sack lunches for the road. Thank you to you both!!🌟New Life West Lakeview Cathryn Browne Real Estate

This past week before Dignity Diner we threw a popsicle social!! All the guests, volunteers, and community members wore name tags, enjoyed a refreshing popsicle, and got to know one another before dinner service started.

Volunteer Mitchell summed it up perfectly, “The popsicle social this week gave everyone the opportunity to meet and mingle with new people. Community is an important aspect of Dignity Diner and this was a great way to continue to build and reinforce it among both guests and volunteers!” Thank you volunteer Mitchell for planning the social for us!

It’s moments like these that really show us why we do what we do, the community we have is unmatched!
