We don’t just know about God, but through Christ, we know God. He is for you! He not only provides our daily bread, but despite our failure to live up to being made in His image He restores us, forgives us. We have tasted His mercy in breaking of bread, we have heard His grace in words of forgiveness by not just pastors but sisters and brothers in Christ.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10a, 12 (ESV)

The focus of Pentecost isn’t the spectacle.
It’s the Savior.

The Spirit was poured out so that every nation would hear the name of Jesus Christ crucified and risen.

“And everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

That’s the miracle.
And Pentecost still continues today wherever Christ is proclaimed.
