Sometimes the most spiritual thing we can do is stop forcing ourselves to choose between two truths.

We are taught to think in opposites:
Good or bad.
Fear or joy.
Success or failure.

But life—and recovery—rarely works that way.

A few weeks ago I went skydiving, expecting fear to disappear the moment I jumped. It didn't. I was still afraid... and I was filled with even greater joy.

Both were true.

Recovery teaches us that we don't have to wait until fear is gone to experience hope, peace, or freedom. We can hold both at the same time.

That's not weakness.
That's growth.
That's spirituality.
