Lydia fam!!!! It’s been a long while!!! I thought at least one of us should show our work-from-home, need to get my hair done FACE 💇🏻‍♀️😆just to say we’ve been praying so much for you!!! and I are finally back in Chicago after a lot of unplanned travel due to remediation on our home + our annual 8 day silent retreat. I know it’s hard to imagine not talking for that long but it was truly AMAZING!! Did you know TODAY is the feast of St Lydia in the Greek Orthodox Church?!?!?! Our gal Lydia is smiling down on each one of you and wants you to know God sees IT ALL…everything you’re carrying, all the graduations, celebrations, end of school year activities, upcoming end of Q2 deadlines, all of it! May you each realize today that you are infinitely and indescribably loved! Hope to see you SOON…Cubs game getting emailed out TODAY! Love and prayers, Eleanor (and Mary, not pictured 😇)

Week 3 - Rooms of the Heart. So good. We unpacked “the office” that place in our hearts of hopes and dreams and of hard work where we build our legacy and lean into our purpose…and yet, this place is also full of deep anxiety, stress, burden and pressure. God, we invite you into our hearts…into THIS space. Help us believe that YOU ARE FIGHTING FOR US, we have only to stand still. Exodus 14:14

Week 2 of our Lenten series “Rooms of the Heart” is underway and our hearts are already filling up🩷🙏🏻. Tonight we unpacked the need for inner awareness as we move through the deep recesses of our own hearts. God stands on the threshold, we have the chance and the choice to let Him in.

A few New Year’s thoughts: This photo was taken on December 9th of one of you, a busy woman just like all of us, who decided to take a few moments out of the holiday bustle to ponder God’s word, to breathe deep, and to be still. We all dispersed that evening into the night with hot cocoa in hand and the true Light in our hearts. Seems like a year ago. And the mayhem continued and still continues as I type this. And then on the 25th, ready or not, Christ was born into our hearts. And He’s still there, no matter how busy or tired you may be feeling right now. He wants to stay there, to make his home in you. And he wants to live 2026 right by your side. He doesn’t want you to feel alone or afraid, he holds the future in his mighty, yet tiny little hand. If you find it hard to trust God with your 2026, ponder that little baby, that mighty King they call Wonder Hero, Father Forever, Prince of Peace. Ponder the Light He brings, and once again, stand up with your candle, decide today as we ring in the New Year, that darkness has no power over you or your life, Hope has come. Light has come. Our prayer for each of you in our Lydia community for 2026 is that you never for a moment believe that God has left your side. May His favor be upon you and my His Light guide your way. Happy New Year friends!

Advent By Candlelight 2025 was quite possibly the best one yet ✨ Sorry this is a but hopefully these stunning photos by the beautiful Maggie will send all of us back to that cold Tuesday night where we gathered, sang, prayed and were uplifted by the powerful stories of faith shared by three brave women from our Lydia community. 💜💜🩷💜And can we get a shout of praise for the homeade hot chocolate in those amazing vats! We had 6 cups left! Thank you and of course for the soul stirring music. Let’s do this again next year, shall we?! Merry Christmas everyone!
