My name is Keith Gauthier, and I grew up like every other kid. I lived in Colonie, rode bikes, played games with friends. As a teenager I moved to West Albany. There I met a girl, got married, and had a kid. Life was good...
Until my wife got sick. Her family wanted to put her in a rehab facility, but I chose to take on the responsibility of caring for her. After four years, she passed away. I felt terrible.
It hit me hard. I stopped caring about anything. I started drinking. I got a DWI and lost my license. I couldn't drive, and I lost my job. Then I couldn't pay rent and I lost my apartment. I was in a downfall.
I reached out to friends and family but they couldn't help me. When a friend mentioned the Capital City Rescue Mission, I gave it a chance. I came to where "Jesus Saves" and found help. My downfall stopped. I've regained confidence. I'm growing above where I was before. I understand the Bible and how God works.
At the Capital City Rescue Mission, God has given me my life back. I'm thankful to the Mission, and to God, for that.
