Come early to The Salvation Army parking lot at 20 South Ferry Street with your bags and cart to receive free food!

Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region will host its next Mass Food Distribution starting at 8 a.m. this Wednesday, June 10, at 20 South Ferry St. Please bring bags or a cart.

Thanks to the Regional Food Bank, we are slated to offer spiced cider sparkling water, assorted waters, garbanzo beans, assorted meat, assorted yogurts, tomatoes, salad/salad kits, assorted cheese, 2% milk, reduced-fat chocolate milk, unsalted butter and American cheese.

Once again, tomorrow The Salvation Army of Albany is partnering with Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region and Regional Food Bank with a mass food distribution in our parking lot at 20 South Ferry Street in Albany.
Come early!! (begins at 8:00am) and BRING your bags & carts. The food will be given out on a first come, first served basis until it runs out.

National Donut Day is about more than a sweet treat.

It's a day rooted in joy, service, tradition, and community, values that have been part of The Salvation Army's National Donut Day celebration since it was established in 1938.

As we prepare to celebrate this Friday, we're reflecting on the legacy of the Donut Lassies and the many ways a simple act of kindness can brighten someone's day.

Kenney family for providing meaningful support to The Salvation Army of Albany and other local nonprofit organizations working to address critical community needs and strengthen services for individuals and families.

Today, we celebrated an extraordinary legacy of generosity.

The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region proudly hosted nonprofit leaders to celebrate the presentation of the first round of grants through the Alice P. Kenney Endowed Fund, serving communities across the Capital Region.

As a designated fund, this fund will be used to uplift young people and provide for their basic needs through discretionary grantmaking led by the Community Foundation. In addition, the $10 million fund will provide annual distributions to the following public charities:
American Red Cross Eastern New York
The Salvation Army of Albany
Capital District Center for Independence, Inc.
Clifton Park Center Baptist Church
New Netherland Institute
City Mission of Schenectady
miSci - Museum of Innovation & Science, Schenectady
University at Albany Foundation
