The Archdiocese of Portland organized its second annual Eucharistic procession through the Pearl District, with attendance growing from 3,000 last year to 5,000 this year.

Thursday, June 11, Solemn Vigil Mass of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at 6:00 p.m. at our Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (preceded by Adoration and Confessions at 5:00).

Confessions will be available at 5:00 p.m., and the rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m.

This week parishes around the country are encouraged join our U.S. Bishops in their consecration of the USA to the Sacred Heart of Jesus to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

On Thursday, June 11, we will celebrate a Solemn Vigil Mass of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at 6:00 p.m. at our Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (preceded by Adoration and Confessions at 5:00).

Weekly Eucharistic Adoration will begin at 7:00 a.m. in the Cathedral on Thursday until 6:00 p.m. Mass.

Confessions will be available at 5:00 p.m., and the rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Adoration at the Cathedral will resume on Friday at 7:00 a.m.

On the feast day itself, there will be a Mass on Friday, 7:00 a.m. at the Cathedral, and 12:05 pm at Historic St. Mary’s.

The Sacred Heart’s solemnity day is always followed by the feast day of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Saturday, June 13, with Mass at 11:00 a.m. (preceded by Adoration, Confessions at 10:00 a.m.), followed by a light reception with food.

Historic St. Mary's Church hosted the solemn Mass of Exposition on Corpus Christi Sunday. This Host was carried in Eucharistic Procession to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for Eucharistic Adoration prior to the 11am Mass, and up until the 5pm Mass. Thank you to all who made this possible: clergy, mucisians, servers, lay volunteers, staff, and first responders!
