Our Savior's Lutheran Church began in 1929 founded with the purpose of spreading the Gospel to the community of Colonie, NY just outside of the city of Albany. Today, OSL has a strong standing tradition based on being Lutheran and Evangelical.

Our Savior's Lutheran Church community loves its school! Because of this, the church community decided to show up to the Lion King musical on Friday night together to show our love for the Our Savior's Christian School. The congregation met at a beautiful park/ playground in Colonie called The Crossings an hour and a half before the musical started. We brought our kids, simple appetizers and drinks, picnic blankets, and folding chairs. Then we drove over to the musical in a caravan! We did this to love-on our hard-working faculty and cheer for the kids! We did this to bless and be blessed!

With thankful hearts, our church family rejoices in the Lord for the ordination and installation of Pastor Mark Chaffee which took place yesterday.

This was a truly special day for our congregation as we witnessed God’s calling and blessing upon Pastor Chaffee, who has faithfully served and worshiped as a member of our church family for many years. We are grateful to see the Lord raise up leadership from within our own congregation.

We thank everyone who helped prepare for this special day and for those who joined us in celebrating. We ask for your continued prayers for Pastor Mark, his wonderful wife Amy, their beautiful family, and their ministry ahead. May God grant wisdom, strength, and grace as this new chapter begins in the life of our church. It’s a new day!
