Ngaio Repair Cafe Don't chuck it - FIX IT! Save costs, reduce waste, reuse, learn new skills
since 15 October 2022 You may well meet your neighbours!

Ngaio Repair Café, affiliated to Ngaio Union Church, is part of the worldwide Repair Café movement to cut down waste and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Our local volunteer repairers will look at and try to fix all sorts of household gear: wooden, metal, electrical, electronic, earthenware, computer, fabric, clothing, leather, stringed, cardboard – as long as it’s small enough for you to bring. W

hile you wait to have your item looked at, tea and coffee and cold drink are provided. Children with parents are welcome. We have some basic materials on site but if your broken thing needs specific parts (e.g. zip, plug) please bring those along. 2023 dates will be announced later.

Here's a happy repairee. She brought along a pair of jeans with a broken zip and a new replacement zip from Spotlight. Happily showing a successful Repair.
All repairs are free, so are the refreshments. All koha given is passed to the local community.
