TAKE ACTION AGAINST MOVE-ON ORDERS
Let politicians know that you do not support the proposed 'Move-On Orders' law changes that will make sleeping rough and being homeless a criminal offence. The changes are likely to be rushed through Parliament in the next couple of weeks without much chance for public comment. Common Grace Aotearoa has provided a resource to use to contact politicians and ask them not to support this and to put their support behind measures that will make a difference: A Christian response to the ‘move-on’ orders. — Common Grace Aotearoa

'Christmas Crawl' is an event when the following six churches will open their doors to visitors on the three days leading up to Christmas. - St. Andrew's on The Terrace, Wellington Anglican Cathedral, St. Peter's, St. John's, Central Baptist and St. Mary of the Angels. The dates are Monday 22nd December, Tuesday 23rd December and Wednesday 24th December between 11.00am and 3.00pm each day. Members of the public, especially children and young people, are invited to visit them all, collecting a stamp from each church on a special Christmas Crawl map brochure. Each church will have different activities and decorations celebrating the true meaning of Advent and Christmas, listed on the 'Christmas Crawl' website - www.christmascrawl.org.nz and their own website and pages. The main themes at St. Andrew's are the Christmas star and Christmas in New Zealand, with recorded NZ carols, readings of NZ Christmas poems and Christmas books to look at. We will have a Christmas tree, Nativity scene, the four Advent candles and Christmas flowers. Two brochures are available - a self-guided tour of the church, and one on the theology and actions of members. Visitors can make Christmas cards, paper stars (on which to write and hang a Christmas wish), and have a cup of coffee or tea and a biscuit. We hope to welcome lots of visitors to celebrate with us this special season.
