Sunday 24 May 2026 - Pentecost

“In the evening of the first day of the week, the doors were closed in the room where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, ‘Peace be with you’, and showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy when they saw the Lord, and he said to them again, ‘Peace be with you.

‘As the Father sent me,
so am I sending you.’

After saying this he breathed on them and said:
‘Receive the Holy Spirit.
For those whose sins you forgive,
they are forgiven;
for those whose sins you retain,
they are retained.’”

Today we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit - the Spirit of peace, courage, wisdom, and new life. May our hearts be open to receive His presence and be renewed in faith, hope, and love.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.

🙏 7th Sunday of Easter - 17 May 2026 🙏

“Father, the hour has come: glorify your Son so that your Son may glorify you.” (John 17)

Today’s Gospel invites us into the beautiful prayer of Jesus to the Father - a prayer filled with love, unity, and eternal hope. Jesus reminds us that eternal life is not simply something promised for the future, but begins now through knowing and loving God.

As Christ prayed for His disciples, He also prays for us:
that we may remain faithful in a world full of distractions,
that we may keep His word,
and that we may live as witnesses of His love and truth.

On this Sunday, let us place ourselves in the heart of Jesus’ prayer and ask for the grace to remain close to Him in every moment of our lives.

Lord Jesus, help us to know You more deeply, love You more faithfully, and glorify You through our daily lives. Keep us united in Your truth and strengthen our faith as we journey toward eternal life with You. Amen.

Today, as we celebrate the Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord, we are reminded that this world is not our final home.

Jesus ascends to the Father not to leave us behind, but to show us where we are meant to be. Heaven is our true destination our place has been prepared, our hope secured.

But the journey is ours to walk.

Let us lift our hearts and minds to what is above, choosing each day to live with faith, love, and purpose. May we not become too attached to what is temporary, but instead seek the eternal joy for which we were created.

“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” (Colossians 3:2)

Lord, draw our hearts to heaven, and help us live in a way that leads us home. ✨🙏
